Serves as a team member in office furniture installations by performing the following duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (individual duties, assignments and responsibilities required of the position)
Review job details with supervisor to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and objectives
Drive company vehicle following guidelines provided in Smith System safety driver training, and maintain clear driving record
Responsible for all company property assigned to individual
Actively participate in Tool Box meeting to understand daily assignments
Communicate all discrepancies or obstacles to supervisor that will restrict productivity on the job site
Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings; adhere to all safety and installation policies and procedures
Ensure written paperwork is complete and accurate
Load necessary equipment, materials and product onto truck; distributing weight evenly, forming compact load, and utilizing space
Safely unload cargo according to instructions
Measure, square, align, and adjust structural components to ensure furniture is installed according to specifications
Discuss errors in diagrams or written instructions with supervisor to clarify assembly problems
Ensure customer concerns are resolved quickly and effectively
Prevent damage to equipment and furniture by following recommended guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: (personnel supervision, budgets, performance, etc.)
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Education and/or Experience: (special training, certifications, college degrees, etc.)
High School Degree or equivalent
1 to 2 years work experience with 6+ months of related experience
Office furniture experience preferred
Complete and maintain customer site specific badge requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (technical, communication, interpersonal, etc.)
Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, blue prints, floor plans and installation drawings.
Able to write simple correspondence on delivery tickets
Proficient in the use of hand tools, such as power drill, tape measure, etc.
Able to learn and pass safety driver training program
Work Environment: (overtime, travel, physical demands, conditions)

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
Frequently is required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; sit; and walk stairs
Required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds approx. 4 hours a day
Required to carry pieces weighing up to 100 pounds without mechanical assistance
Required to push and pull pieces with a force up to 26 lbs.
Requires coupling forces of up to 30 lbs. up to 15 hours
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work overtime when needed
